Nach vielen Verzögerungen gelang es uns nun doch endlich nach Amsterdam zu reisen. Mit im Gepäck meine Cousine Jutta. Wir waren überrascht von dieser fantastischen Stadt. Natürlich stand eine Grachten Fahrt auf dem Programm, ein Besuch im Königlichen Palais sowie wie ein Besuch im Keukenhof mit seinen 700 Millionen Tulpen. Viel bemerkenswerter war jedoch die Sauberkeit, egal wo wir waren. Doch am meisten überraschten uns die vielen, vielen Fahrräder. Hunderttausende. Und alles auf einer schmalen Straße. Fahrräder, Autos, die Tram und Fußgänger. Und alles miteinander. Durchdacht und strukturiert. Da kann Berlin noch von lernen.

After many delays we finally managed to travel to Amsterdam. With me in my luggage is my cousin Jutta. We were surprised by this fantastic city. Much more remarkable, however, was the cleanliness, no matter where we were. But what surprised us most was the many, many bicycles. hundreds of thousands. And all on one narrow street. Bicycles, cars, the tram and pedestrians. And everything together. Thoughtful and structured. Berlin can still learn from that.
